La IFA 2017 which is still being held these days in Berlin, although without any important event or presentation, it has left us great news for all those who need to have practically unlimited storage on our mobile device, tablet or other devices. And is that Sandisk has presented its new microSD card with 400 GB of storage.
This means that the limit that until now was 200 GB has risen considerably to double, and offering us the possibility of having, for example, a smartphone with its internal storage, plus an extra storage of nothing more and nothing less than 400 GB.
Before you get excited we already warn you that having all this storage space is not going to be cheap at all, and in some cases it may be that acquiring this new microSD card will be more expensive than the mobile itself. Its price is 250 euros As we already told you, it is anything but cheap, but stop and think how much benefit you can get out of those 400 GB and if it is really going to be expensive for you in the long term.
At the technical level of this new microSD card we can tell you that it has the A1 standard reaching a reading speed of up to 100 MB / s. Its storage space is 400 GB as we have already said and we can save for example 40 hours of video in Full HD or move up to 1.200 photos per minute.
