The next version of WhatsApp will allow you to delete messages

Whatsapp

According to the leak of a series of screenshots of the next version of Whatsapp, apparently its developers have implemented a new functionality where it would allow users to delete messages in a very simple way, just by holding down the text you have sent and want to delete for a few seconds. This new and interesting feature will be operational in both individual and group chats.

Undoubtedly, we are facing what may be one of the improvements most demanded by practically the entire community since now any user will have the opportunity to delete that message that we have sent by mistake. What is yet to be confirmed, since there are many voices that say one thing or another, is whether that message can only be erased before the other person has read it or if on the contrary we can also make it disappear even if it already has the controversial one blue check.

WhatsApp could be working on an option that allows the user to delete a message already sent.

As you can see in the image located just at the end of this entry, in the screenshots you can see that, when a user deletes a message, using the function that has been baptized as'Revoke', the target user gets a message where they can read, in perfect English,'The sender has revoked the message'. Thus, the person to whom this message would reach will know that we have deleted a comment although it has no way of finding out what we've written.

As a final detail, at least for now, WhatsApp has not commented on this leak although it is known that the captures were taken on the beta version of iOS 2.17.1.869. As is often the case, once again, we will only have to wait to see what happens with the option to delete messages and if the company decides to take it to production or not.
