Sony is one of the companies that has been resisting the hacking of its devices the most in recent years. This information seems curious, especially if we consider that much of the success of PlayStation One and PSP was precisely due to how easy it was to run backups. However, PlayStation 3 already showed refusal to be hacked and PlayStation 4 is still "virgin" in this regard. The last to fall has been PS Vita, they have just confirmed that it is possible to hack PS Vita and run both homebrew software and copies of games and emulators. This could give a second youth to a console that has suffered a significant abandonment.
The few possibilities of the console and the abandonment of the developers have produced a significant dissatisfaction in its buyers. These, and we, saw an interesting potential in the PS Vita and its operating system, however, the developers have not bet heavily on this latest Sony drinking system. But this all came to an end a group of hackers called Team Molecule has created the first home-made software activator for the PS Vita and PS TV (We take this opportunity to recall that PlayStation TV has been withdrawn from the market outside of Japan).
There's not much content available for PS Vita yet, beyond a DOOM port. However, they have promised that the system will emulate classics from other consoles such as the SNES. Of course, when they turn it into a decent emulator we can prepare our wallets to go for the nearest second-hand PS Vita, we could have a great time with the retro classics on that Sony portable console. Also, they have promised to unlock PS Vita games that cannot be played on PlayStation TV, to give you another second youth to PlayStation TV, which is missing after such a failure.
