The year that we are about to end, It has been the year in which virtual reality has taken the leap that many users expected. Of course, at the moment the prices that the early-adopters have had to pay have been very high, but over time the price of these devices will drop and will be available to many more users interested in it. The last virtual reality glasses to hit the market have been Sony's for the PS4, glasses that it was rumored that they could also be compatible with the PC, but at the moment there is no new news about it. Google just updated its app for the PS4 ecosystem, making them compatible with PlayStation VR virtual reality glasses.
Thanks to this update, any user with Sony virtual reality glasses will be able to access the 360 video section that YouTube has been offering for a few months. When running the application, version 1.09 or higher, YouTube will ask us what type of interface we want to open: the normal way to view the content on our TV in a traditional way or the PSVR, which as the name indicates is to open the platform directly where we can find the 360 videos.
At the moment YouTube only offered this possibility to all users of Google Cardboard, Samsung VR, and other virtual reality glasses that allows us to enjoy content recorded in 360 degrees from our smartphone. But it seems that the application does not work as it should and many are the users who state that the operation is not entirely correct, since the quality of many of the videos leaves much to be desired. We do not know if it is because of the connection speed or the quality of the videos itself, something that I would miss a lot with Google behind everything.
