Tidal and its executives are not honest with the user figures

Lately around the internet world a rumor about the possible and future acquisition of Tidal by the competition, services such as Spotify or Apple Music are clearly superior to Tidal in terms of offer and quality of the software. Nevertheless, These accusations about the falsification of the data of registered users in Tidal begin to shake the market. We refer to the fact that it appears that Tidal has significantly fewer paying users than its founder, Jay Z, announced at the end of last year, which would significantly lower the price of its acquisition.

According to Dagens Naeringsliv, a Norwegian newspaper, have in their possession a series of documents that speak of certain data regarding the streaming music market. As you well know, Jay Z announced in November 2015 that his platform had reached one million users, however, the platform actually had 350.000 users, three times less than Jay Z indicated.

According to the monthly payment income data, two years later Tidal only has 850.000 users, that is, not even giving a considerable margin of time to its founder, they have managed to approach the number of paying users. All this while Tidal fires his CFO, supposedly because of this discrepancy between the real subscribers and those that the communication team intends to sell.

Meanwhile, Tidal continues to have problems in a landscape clearly governed by Spotify and followed by Apple Music, two greats that are unlikely to be dethroned. Ultimately, everything indicates that Tidal will eventually disappear, not without a few criticisms, despite the attempts of Jay Z and his wife (Beyoncé) to re-float a platform that never seemed to be successful.
