Titanfall's mobile version is permanently canceled

During the past month of September, the development company in charge of Tintafall, Respawn Entertainment, announced that it had a project on its hands that could make many happy but that would end up being too risky. Indeed, we talked about that they were preparing a mobile version of their famous Titanfall video game. We looked with suspicion how they would end up conjuring such an epic, however, as happened recently with Scalebound by Microsoft and its developer, they have chosen to cancel the mobile version of Titanfall. A new blow for developers who do not plan things well and end up destroying millions of dollars.

This video game would arrive for iOS and Android, but it will no longer be like that. The cancellation has been posted on the Titanfall: Frontline website, and they have explained that the game mode would not be complacent and would end up colliding too much with the one presented in desktop platform video games. Something logical, and that is that mobile games are always limited by non-existent physical controls, which allows making video games with detailed and graphically stable displays but that cannot be accompanied by too complex gameplay, thus having to be limited to the characteristics of the touch screen, imprecise and uncomfortable for these tasks.

They also communicate that they have taken the opportunity to learn a lot while developing the game, but that the final experience was not ready to be offered under the title Titanfall, as it would not please users. Meanwhile, the development of this video game may be just the beginning of the creation of other similar games related to the saga that end up on mobile devices. What is clear is that there is little or no point in trying to create an FPS for a touch platform if we take into account not only the limitations in terms of control, but also in terms of the stability of the data network.
