Unify iOS and macOS? The idea returns to Apple's plans

This issue has never really been a priority in CupertinoAt least that's how Apple representatives have made it known since time immemorial, but of course, good old Steve Jobs laughed and a lot about digital pencils and now they offer you one with the screen-printed apple for around € 100.

However, Apple has always had its strong point in the ecosystem for the gallery, those of us who have a complete Apple suite know it well. Now is when apparently from Cupertino they are getting down to work to at least unify the way applications work between iOS and macOS.

This is how in the latest Bloomberg report they have been able to access confidential information about how Apple is working to unify the applications in all its systems. More specifically, it is being forged since the last WWDC17 and even has its own code name: «Marzipan». This is how in the future it is assumed that simply writing the code of an application could work correctly and similarly on both the iPhone and the Mac and on the iPad ... wouldn't you like it? Of course, this has many strengths, but we have no doubt that the big loser in this battle for continuity would be macOS.

By this we mean that the iPhone and iPad sell much more than the Mac, so the developers will be very clear about it, we better work well on iOS, we will see about macOS. And this is how the performance that macOS is capable of offering us can be wasted.

Apparently we will be able to see the first glimpses of what the «Marzipan» project would be during WWDC18, and a victim would be charged to begin with, the macOS app store would eventually disappear to give rise to a unified store for its platforms.
