UPS orders 125 electric trucks from Tesla

Good news for both companies since Tesla has with this the first important order of a fleet of electric trucks and the UPS itself will surely receive a good handful of compliments from all the media (as is already happening) in addition to optimize your maintenance costs, fuel, taxes and take care of the planet a little more.

Elon Musk's company is receiving good demand for its new electric trucks and UPS is adding to the orders placed a few days ago by Walmart, Hunt Transport, Pepsi and Sysco who have also ordered from Tesla. In the case of Pepsi, it is the company that had ordered the most trucks with 100 units, now UPS exceeds that figure by 25 units.

Tesla Electric Semi Truck Price Confirmed

Surely, ordinary users like you or me are not interested in this movement of Tesla itself to manufacture its electric trucks since we do not have the slightest possibility of buying one, but it is evident that companies now have an interesting option for transportation by road and it is for them that this product is intended.

Elon Musk himself, launched a message on his Twitter account thanking UPS for booking this fleet of trucks:

For its part, UPS reveals its interest in these trucks with a statement issued by Juan Pérez, UPS's head of information and engineering:

For more than a century, UPS has led the industry in testing and implementing new technologies for a more efficient fleet of operations. These innovative electric trucks are ready to benefit a new era with greater safety and by reducing environmental impact and costs to owners.

We must bear in mind the price that each of these Tesla trucks costs $ 200.000, which makes quick accounts and without counting any possible discount for the number of trucks or something similar, UPS is going to pay around $ 25 million for this number of trucks. The words of the manufacturer Tesla on delivery dates are for the next 2019.
