Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, announced a few weeks ago that they were working on new functions for the instant messaging application, among which were the voice calls that more and more users demanded incessantly. Now this possibility, which has been available for a long time in its great rival, WhatsApp, is already operational, although in a test version that still has some things to polish.
Not all users have access to the new Telegram feature and it is that two requirements are necessary to be able to make voice calls from the increasingly popular messaging application.
Telegram Beta and a generous godfather
These are the two things that are needed to have access to make a voice call through Telegram. First you must install, if you do not already have it installed, the beta version of the instant messaging application. Secondly, a user with calls already activated, or what is the same, a sponsor, must give you access to them.
As happened with WhatsApp, to be able to activate voice calls in Telegram, we must receive a call by this method so that they remain activated forever. Keep in mind that, as we have already mentioned, it will be essential that you have the Telegram trial version installed since otherwise you will not even be able to receive the voice call and therefore the new feature will not be activated.
Quality and good performance in the first tests
At the moment there are not many users who have been able to test Telegram voice calls, but according to it seems the quality, the stability of the call and the good general functioning are some of the strengths of the new service of the instant messaging application.
Also apparently the cost of megabytes in voice calls is quite lower than in the rest of applications that offer this feature.
For now we have to wait to be able to use the new functionality of Telegram, without having to complicate our lives too much, although it may be worth installing the beta application and begging a sponsor to give us access to make voice calls with great quality.
