Vulkkano Bullet, a portable speaker with a careful design and high-quality sound

Portable speakers have become devices that almost all of us tend to have and that we also use more and more frequently. There are hundreds of devices of this type on the market, with the most varied sizes and prices for all or almost all users. In recent days we have been able to test one of these gadgets, specifically the Vulkkano Bullet, which have been assigned to us for this analysis since souk, to whom we thank publicly.

Of this Vulkkano Bullet stands out to a great extent its design that offers enormous resistance to shocks, being also resistant to splashes thanks to the IPX6 certification. This allows us to use it in almost any scenario, no matter how unfavorable it may be or as it has been my case, to listen to music while I shower.

Characteristics and specifications

First of all, we are going to review the main features and specifications of this Vulkkano Bullet to be clear about what type of device we are talking about;

Integrated

Once the Vulkkano Bullet was taken out of the box we found a compact, robust device that at first glance seems resistant to any blow, fall or impact. With a black and red finish, we could say that it is not the most beautiful that we have seen, but considering that it is a speaker, they have a more than interesting design for any user.

Its weight is only 330 grams, something that surprises, since given its robustness you may think that the weight of the device will be much greater. As for the dimensions, they are not exaggerated at all; 149.5 x 47 x 68.6 millimeters. If you are going to take it anywhere it is very comfortable to transport and thanks to its rectangular design it will be perfect almost anywhere you are going to place it.

On the front of the Vulkkano Bullet we find a pair of 400 mm drivers that offer a power of 10W and that, as we will see later, offers us a more than correct sound quality for a device of this type. The upper part is the place chosen for the location of the 5 physical buttons that we can use to activate the bluetooh synchronization mode, change the audio source, control the volume and play or pause the playback. As accessories we find an indicative LED and a microphone with which we can make and receive calls.

On the right side we find a climbing hook to hang the device almost anywhere we need it and also a rubber cover that leaves hidden a microUSB connector that will allow us to charge the internal battery, a 3.5 mm Jack connector and a Ranura to insert microSD cards from which we can have access to our favorite music. The microSD card is undoubtedly one of the most surprising and especially interesting features since it allows you to save almost any type of audio on it, and play it at any time and place.

Test of performance

By connecting the Vulkkano Bullet to a Wolder Wiam 65, something we can do amazingly quickly, we are now ready to start using the portable speaker. The sound quality, as you will be able to see in the video that we show you below, is really sensational. It is striking that even with the volume at maximum the sound is very balanced and without distorting too much, as happens in other devices of this type.

One of the most interesting things about this device, and that we have not mentioned yet, is being able to listen to the FM radio. Its antenna is not very powerful, but it certainly serves to listen to a large number of stations. In my case, it has gotten me out of more than one problem since for a few days I did not have my car's CD radio available, so the Vulkkano Bullet was my perfect travel companion to listen to the radio and to listen to my favorite music.

Finally we must talk about the autonomy of the device, which in the specifications appears set at 10 hours, although in our case we have hardly managed to exceed 9 hours. Of course, we are aware that autonomy will largely depend on the volume at which we play music or FM radio.

I have to say that I have been lucky enough to be able to test dozens of portable speakers, some exceptional and some others that I have not even considered could have a place in this blog in the form of an article. This Vulkkano Bullet has undoubtedly been one of the best that I have triedAlthough perhaps having run out of radio in the car has had a great influence, which has allowed me to fall in love and squeeze this device to exhaustion.

For the price of $49.90 I can say that it offers us a careful design, with very good sound quality and great possibilities in terms of connectivity. One of the most positive aspects is undoubtedly the possibility of listening to music from a microSD card.

Before finishing, I do not want to stop pointing out how interesting it is that this speaker has the IPX68 certification, which makes it resistant to splashes and allows you, for example, to take it to the shower or bath without too fear of getting wet, spoiling with it forever.
