We analyze the m-net Power 1, low cost and a lot of battery

We return once again in Actualidad Gadget with a low-cost device that can be converted into a very interesting alternative for those looking for a smartphone that allows them to get out of the way, or simply does not pretend to be up to date. And it is that high-end telephony is going more and more unnoticed in a market populated by increasingly cheaper phones. A clear example is this Power 1 from m-net.

This phone from the Italian firm m-net does not pretend to show off, it simply seeks to cover some basic needs in whom the only thing you want is a smartphone with autonomy and the most basic applications.

As always, we are going to start talking about m-net, an Italian firm that manufactures in China, following a market model that has already catapulted other firms such as BQ in Spain, but this time from the country of spaghetti. But we have an impact again, do not get completely carried away by these marketing strategies, we are really facing a very low cost Chinese device, which you can probably find at similar prices for other parts with a very similar design. But this should not really be a problem when you take into account its characteristics and know well what you are buying.

Design and materials of the m-net Power 1

Well, we start with the design, a terminal that makes a clear reference to its price. The back cover is made of plastic, totally and flat. In addition, they have had a curious detail since m-net, the Power 1 instead of coming with a silicone case like most of these Chinese devices, it comes with another cover. So you can enjoy the terminal in black for the most classic ones, and a very striking turquoise that is actually the one that suits it best, at least it gives a fun tone to this low-cost phone.

The most classic Android-style front panel in this price range, a capacitive bottom keypad with the classic operating system logos, accompanied by its five-inch screen and in the upper part we find the microphone, a flash for selfie photographs, the front camera and the proximity sensor. The right side brings together the volume buttons at the same time as the power / lock. Thus, the left side is completely transparent, we do not have a single button. Meanwhile, the lower part of the device remains for the simulation of stereo speakers although in reality there is only one, while above we have the microUSB and the minijack. The back is left for the round and flashy camera and flash (the camera sticks out of the phone, the signature logo and little else.

It is a phone that measures 71,8 x 143,6 x 10,8 with a weight of 180 gramsIt is certainly not small, thin or light. Likewise, the rear cover is removable but don't sing victory, the battery is bolted to the chassis.

Hardware, storage and battery

We start with its strongest point, a 5.050 mAh battery (that promises m-net and signs the same) although in some models it could be around 4.900 mAh. Of course it is not small, so we are going to ensure a lot of autonomy, so much so that the firm warns that it lasts up to a whole month on stand-by, although this could be a figure somewhat far from reality. But the phone is not going to live solely on battery, so let's go to storage and the rest of the more technical details.

We find a processor MT6580A very low capacity, a quad-core processor that runs at a frequency between 1,3 GHz and 1,5 GHz, without 64-Bit architecture, so we will understand that the phone will be able to with WhatsApp, Facebook and basic applications, but not you can hardly run games or consume very demanding multimedia content. To accompany this processor ARM Cortex-A7 we have an ARM Mali-400 MP1 GPU, also low consumption and on par with the low power of the processor.

We continue with more technical details, the most negative point is that we only find 1 GB of RAM, by far the worst, They should have considered including 2 GB of RAM memory that greatly increased the comfort in browsing and managing applications. At the same time, it will have only 8 GB of storage memory, very scarce, but which reminds us that we are facing an input device, we can also expand the total storage through the microSD card.

Let's give ourselves a tour of the rest of the hardware:

  • Accelerometer
  • Light sensor
  • Proximity sensor
  • Front led
  • dual SIM
  • GPS
  • OTG
  • FM radio
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • WiFi bng
  • 3G

M-net Power 1 camera and display

On the front we have a 5-inch front with 720p resolution (HD) offering a pixel density of 294 PPI. More than enough for a phone in this price range. At least it is an IPS LCD panel, which we can see from many different angles.

The rear camera is a 5 Mpx sensor that will get us out of the way, with an aperture supposedly of f / 2.2, but it gives the performance you would expect from it despite including auto focus, HDR and other features that we imagine have been added through software. The selfie camera is exactly the same and has the same characteristics. In short, the Antutu score of this m-net Power 1 is 21.500 points, indeed we are facing a low-cost and low-performance terminal that will get us out of the way, and rather little else.

The price of the m-net Power 1 is around 55 euros at certain points of sale such as Gearbest, although I sincerely recommend its acquisition through Amazon at THIS LINK where it will cost you only 55 euros.

Honestly, you must bear in mind that it is a 55 euro phone, that you can buy directly on Amazon and with a guarantee. By this we mean that without a doubt you are not going to get a spectacular performance from it, but it will meet the expectations of those who seek autonomy, fair performance and manage Social Networks without more.

Pros

  • Autonomy
  • It has no bad design
  • Price

Cons

  • RAM
