WhatsApp already allows us to send any type of file

WhatsApp

WhatsApp has always been characterized by offering new functions at a much slower rate than the competition, especially Telegram, the messaging application that has become a reference in this world. WhatsApp took a long time to allow us to share files in GIF format through the platform. It has taken much longer to offer the possibility of being able to send any type of file through its platform, a function that has been available practically since its inception in Telegram and that greatly facilitated the work when sharing files between other people regardless of their format.

The latest WhatsApp update for all the platforms where it is available, finally adds this new feature, a feature that was previously available but only to the most used file formats such as videos, music, images, PDF files ... As is usual in this type of functions, the requirements to be able to share any type of file are related to the version of WhatsApp that the person who is going to receive the files has installed, since both devices must have the same version, that is, the latest available.

How to share any type of file on Android with WhatsApp

In iOS there will be no problem with the type of files that we can share, since the applications can only be installed through the App Store. When sharing files, we must do it from the application that manages or creates them and click on the share button. If we do it from Android, we must click on the clip and look for the file in question, but carefully if we want to share or receive application files. On Android the problems with possible viruses, malware and others are more extensive, since any user can start sending free applications through the messaging application, applications that in some cases may contain malicious files.
