This time we tested a pack made up of two Energy Multiroom Tower Wi-Fi sound towers. Each tower is made up of two 4 ″ (10 + 10W) ​​front woofers, a 1,5 ″ (10W) tweeter and a 4 ″ (30W) subwoofer. In total they add up to the not inconsiderable figure of 60W RMS for each tower.

The tower itself measures no less than a meter high, with a width and depth of 15 cm. The appearance of the product is slim and pleasant, an elegant black vinyl design finished off by a backlit touch panel that adds a touch of modernity. The tower includes a small optional base that increases the stability of the set, in case you consider that you are in danger of falling (for example if we have children, pets or we simply tend to trip over the furniture at home).

Testing the towers

As soon as the towers are connected, we receive a voice-over that indicates the selected mode (Bluetooth, WiFi, SD, USB, etc.). In my opinion this function is not necessary since we see it on the upper screen, application or remote control. The tower has a space enabled at the top with a slot where we can deposit the mobile or player while charging it, with two 2-amp USB sockets, a very practical and welcome idea. The WiFi synchronization is carried out without problems, being the handling very simple. The sound quality seems very successful, with the possibility of choosing several stored equalizations or managing the balance of treble and bass through two wheels of a lifetime located on the back. It should be noted that the subwoofer, despite its relatively small size, adds a lot of body and depth to the sound, being more than enough for the neighbors to remember us if we use it at full power.

The top touch panel has a somewhat hard touch, but it is something normal since nowadays we have gotten used to the extreme sensitivity of the touch screens of our Smartphones, to the point that pressing any other control may seem unusual. As I said before, the design of the same is nice and the timed backlight adds a "touch".

Playback quality through physical media (USB, card, or cable connection) is not sticky. Of wireless functions (Bluetooth or WiFi), as you would expect WiFi works better. With this network, micro-cuts or synchronization failures will seldom occur, a specific problem that in any case lasts for thousandths of a second and can be considered normal in this type of product.
