Windows 10 continues to grow and is closer to Windows 7

After several months in which the growth of Windows 10 had stalled for no apparent reason, last July it regained market share, getting even closer to Windows 7, an operating system that it is found in practically half of all computers in the world, with a 48,91% share. Particularly striking is the success that Windows 7 has had since its inception, an operating system that has shown that when Microsoft wants to do things well, it does them and users find it difficult to get rid of an OS when it works perfectly, something similar to what happened with Windows XP.

Today Windows 10 market share is 27,63% in the month of July that ended yesterday, a market share that has grown again after the halt that I experienced last June, where growth was practically flat.

The veteran Windows XP continues to lose share, something logical considering that it has not had any official support from Microsoft for a few years, something that does Windows 7, hence it remains the king in the PC market today.

Although it may seem inexplicable, there are still people who continue to use Windows 8, with a share of 1,42%While the update that brought it back to life, Windows 8.1 is found in 6,48% of PCs on the market connected to the internet.

If we talk about the Apple ecosystem, macOS 10.12 the latest version available in the market for the company's computers is at 3,52%, a share that will represent almost the total of Macs connected to the Internet, as the Cupertino-based company offers all versions of its desktop operating systems for free.

Linux for its part, is at 2,53% of computers connected to the internet, maintaining more or less the same quota as throughout this year.

It's funny that Windows XP has almost as many users as Windows 8.1
