I will start by showing what the program is for, what requirements we need to be able to use it, how to install Messenger, how to create a user account and of course how to use it. Later we will also see more advanced aspects in the use of this program so that more expert users will also find information of interest here.
Cas the different articles on Messenger are published, I will add here the corresponding links to each entry so that all the articles are united in one as a great Messenger manual. But before starting with these articles I will try to solve some doubts that have arisen as a result of the new version called "Windows Live Messenger".
SAnd no, let me explain, Windows Live Messenger is the new version of MSN Messenger so that deep down it is still the same program with the same main utility that is instant messaging but with new functionalities and an appearance with a style very similar to new Windows Vista.
SIf you already had an MSN Messenger or MSN Hotmail account, you will not have to create a new account for the new version of Messenger. That is, if you have an email of the type TU_APODO_O_NOMBRE@hotmail.com or TU_APODO_O_NOMBRE@msn.com you can use that email to use Messenger.
SIf you can use it, you just have to crear una cuentaAlso, if you already had an MSN Messenger account (read the previous point) you can continue using it with the new version.

NOr, not at all, the contacts you had in the old Messenger will remain in the new Windows Messenger. Remember that in essence the new Messenger is an update and that therefore it preserves the characteristics of the previous version but adding new functionalities.
Al same as previous version you can download Windows Live Messenger for free. Its use is also free but there are some services that carry a cost, such as the purchase of emoticons. In any case, these special services are optional and their use will be up to you so you can continue using Messenger without paying a penny as usual.
En principle with having Windows XP you have enough since if this operating system works for you it is assumed that your computer meets the basic requirements to make the program work, that is: 233 Mhz, 128 MB of RAM memory and Internet Explorer 6 with Service Pack 1 installed. On the other hand, it is assumed that with Windows Vista it also works although I do not have this operating system installed and I cannot confirm it.
