Wine 2.0 lets you run Windows x64 programs on macOS

The eternal complication between macOS and Windows remains due to the fact that many developers do not want to make their programs cross-platform, in this way we find many macOS applications that are not available in Windows, and obviously the same assumption but on the opposite side. However, Wine is an application for macOS that has allowed us to run Windows programs on our Mac in the most stable way possible. However, until now it was limited to 32-bit applications. Something that will never be a problem again, Wine 2.0 makes running Windows x64 programs on macOS as easy and stable as possible.

So, if you have a Mac device, it's time for you to take a look at Wine, a simple application that can get us out of more than one mess. Wine began operating in no less than 1993. If we consider that this is its version 2.0, they have taken their time, but it is to do things right.

Another novelty is that now Wine 2.0 is fully adapted to retina resolution displays with which Apple laptops have since 2014. In this way we will not have compatibility problems between resolutions when making .EXE files work on our Mac with macOS.

Of course macOS is not the only beneficiary, it will also work with 64-bit Windows applications that we can now run on Linux or any UNIX-based system. In fact, now it promises us to even run Windows applications that run on x86 on Android devices, something more novel if possible, especially if we take into account that Chromebooks can hit hard during this year 2017 due to their adjusted price and the possibility of install applications directly from the Google Play Store.
