The best of MWC 2018

As in previous editions, the Korean company Samsung has once again used the MWC framework to present its new flagship, unlike the previous year, which delayed its official presentation until March, apparently to Prevent the rush from playing tricks on you as happened with the Galaxy Note 7.

But, in addition to Samsung, LG has also presented its partial bet for this year, with the LG V30s and I say partial because the renewal of its flagship is scheduled for mid-year, if at the end it occurs, because according to the CEO of the company at CES held in Las Vegas, it seems that he has gotten off that bandwagon. Sony, Asus, Nokia, Vibo, Nubia have also presented their bets for 2018. Here we show you the best of MWC 2018

Samsung at MWC 2018

The leader in worldwide sales of Samsung smartphones, has presented the ninth generation of the Galaxy S series, a range that, as we could see in the presentation, offers us the same design as its predecessor. To find changes, we must go inside the terminal, where the main novelty is found in the camera with variable aperture f / 1,5 to f / 2.4 on both terminals.

Another novelty is found in the S9 +, the first terminal in this range to reach the market with two cameras, a wide angle with the same aperture as the Galaxy S9 and another telephoto lens. The other interesting novelty, we find it in the AR emojis, animated emojis created in our image and likeness that we can share in many situations.

Inside, as expected, we find the Snapdragon 845 for the United States, Latin America and China while the version for the rest of the world, including Europe, is managed by the Exynos 9810 manufactured and designed by the Korean company Samsung and that such good results has been offering you in recent years.

Despite the fact that a large number of rumors suggested that this new range would exceed 1000 euros, Nothing is further from reality. The Samsung Galaxy S9 is priced at 849 euros, while the Galaxy S9 + is 100 euros more expensive, with its starting price of 949 euros.

LG V30S ThinQ image1

Also the Korean firm LG, has taken advantage of the MWC framework to launch a renewed version of the LG V30. The LG V30S ThinQ offers us 6 GB of RAM, accompanied by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 (Leaving aside the latest processor from the American company Qualcomm the Snapdragon 845). Inside we find 128 GB / 256 GB of storage space, space that we can expand with a microSD card of up to 2 TB.

At the back we find two 16 and 13 mpx cameras allowing us to obtain a Bokeh effect, an effect that has become a trend in the market in the last year. The front camera offers us a resolution of only 5 mpx, somewhat short if we compare it with the rest of the manufacturers, although It offers us three new features to improve results: AI CAM, QLens and Bright Mode.

According to the company, the model has passed 14 military tests such as resistance to corrosion, dust, water, extreme temperatures to falls ... The company has not revealed the starting price of this terminal, but it follows its policy of prices, it is likely that when it hits the market it will about 800 euros.

Sony at MWC 2018

One more year, Sony has shown how it is going to do its thing, following a trend that most manufacturers abandoned more than a year ago, and it continues to offer us terminals with gigantic frames, both side, top and bottom. Both the Xperia XZ 2 and the Xperia XZ 2 Compat offer us similar characteristics (except for the size of the screen) with the Snapdragon 845 inside accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.

Sony has wanted to focus on the camera of its terminal, a camera that offers us excellent performance with the possibility of record videos in 4k HDR, with an aperture f / 1,8, videos at 960 fps in Full HD resolution and a speaker system with S-Force Dynamic Vibration technology. Everything is very good, but 90% of users do not take into account the interior of the device, but its exterior, an aspect that Sony still has to work on a lot.
